A personalised approach to anti-wrinkle treatment

You may have noticed lines that stay visible after you stop smiling or frowning. Perhaps you want to look more refreshed, but still feel like yourself. At The Hamble Clinic in Aylesbury, your care starts with a conversation about what matters to you.

Stuart Yeates is an independent nurse prescriber with over 20 years of clinical experience. He carries out your consultation and treatment himself. You have time to ask questions, explain your concerns and understand your options.

Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce activity in selected muscles. This can soften the appearance of expression lines. Often referred to as Botox, this treatment uses a prescription-only medicine. Stuart will assess whether it is appropriate for you before recommending a treatment plan.

His approach focuses on your individual features, facial movement and the changes you would like to see. The aim is a natural, refreshed appearance, with realistic expectations about what treatment can achieve.

The Hamble Clinic is Save Face registered. Stuart is also a member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses and the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group. Careful assessment, informed decisions and ongoing support are central to his approach.

Your first step is a free consultation, with no pressure to proceed.

Which areas can we assess and treat?

Expression lines develop in different ways. Stuart looks at how your face moves and how your muscles work together before discussing suitable options.

Common areas include:

  • Forehead lines: horizontal lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows.
  • Frown lines: vertical lines between the eyebrows.
  • Crow’s feet: lines around the outer corners of the eyes.
  • Bunny lines: creases across the sides of the nose.
  • Dimpled chin: an uneven or puckered appearance caused by muscle activity.

Your consultation can also cover an eyebrow lift, lip flip or gummy smile treatment. These involve different muscles and need an individual assessment. An eyebrow lift is not suitable for every type of heaviness around the eyes. A lip flip changes how the upper lip sits, rather than adding volume.

Stuart also offers Nerfitit neck lift treatment which addresses prominent vertical neck bands, known as platysma bands. Suitability depends on whether muscle activity, loose skin or another concern is affecting the area.

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the clinic welcomes enquiries from Stoke Mandeville, Weston Turville, Aston Clinton, Wendover and Berkhamsted. Wherever you travel from, your consultation gives you time to discuss your concerns directly with Stuart.

Most anti-wrinkle treatments require one appointment, followed by a review around two weeks later. Stuart will assess your response and discuss whether any adjustment is appropriate. Further top-up treatment is not always needed.

This depends on the areas being treated. Stuart will explain how long to allow when planning your appointment. Your consultation includes time to discuss your medical history, suitability and questions.

You may notice redness, small bumps, tenderness or bruising around the injection sites. Allow for the possibility of visible marks when planning treatment before an event. Stuart will explain any temporary restrictions.

Results are temporary and often last around three to four months. This varies with the treatment area and your individual response. Some areas may wear off sooner. Stuart will advise when it is appropriate to consider another appointment.

Possible side effects include bruising, swelling and tenderness. Risks differ by treatment area. Stuart will discuss these before you decide whether to proceed.

Follow the aftercare advice Stuart provides for your treatment areas. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas immediately afterwards. Contact the clinic if you have concerns.

Frequently asked questions

Stuart’s aim is to soften the concerns you identify while respecting your individual features. He will assess your facial movement and discuss how much change you would like. Results vary, and complete removal of every line may not be achievable or appropriate.

Yes. Stuart Yeates is an independent nurse prescriber with over 20 years of clinical experience. He carries out your consultation and any suitable treatment himself. This includes reviewing your medical history, discussing your concerns and explaining the benefits and risks. A consultation does not necessarily lead to treatment.

In suitable cases, treating selected muscles can create a subtle change in brow position. This is sometimes called a non-surgical eyebrow lift. It does not remove excess eyelid skin or replace surgery. Stuart will assess what is causing the heaviness before advising you.

A lip flip aims to relax part of the muscle around the upper lip. This can allow more of the lip to show, particularly when smiling. It does not add volume in the way lip filler does. Treatment can temporarily affect lip movements, including drinking or pursing your lips. Stuart will explain these considerations during your consultation.

A gummy smile describes a smile that shows a noticeable amount of gum above the upper teeth. Where an overactive upper lip is contributing, treatment may be an option. Other causes may need dental assessment. Stuart will discuss whether this approach is suitable for you.

These concerns can sometimes respond to treatment that reduces activity in selected muscles. Bunny lines appear around the nose, while chin dimpling can become more noticeable when speaking or making expressions. Stuart will assess the area and explain the potential benefits and risks, including changes to nearby facial movement.

Prominent vertical bands can develop when the platysma muscle in the neck contracts. Treatment may soften their appearance in suitable patients. It will not remove excess skin or provide the same result as a surgical neck lift. Stuart will assess the cause of your concern before recommending an approach.

Anti-wrinkle treatment starts at £120 for one area. The full cost depends on how many areas are being treated and your individual plan. Stuart will explain the full cost during your free consultation, before you decide whether to proceed. You can also visit the booking link for current treatment fees.
