Different concerns need different approaches. If loss of facial volume is your main concern, Stuart may discuss dermal fillers or Profhilo Structura. If your priority is hydration and overall skin quality, standard Profhilo may be more suitable.

An initial course usually consists of two treatments, approximately four weeks apart. Stuart will assess your response and advise whether further sessions or maintenance treatments would be appropriate.
Allow around 30 minutes for your treatment appointment. Profhilo is placed through a series of small injections. For facial treatment, this usually involves five injection points on each side.
You can usually return to everyday activities straight after your treatment. Small raised bumps, redness, tenderness and swelling can appear at the injection sites. These often settle within a few days. Bruising may take longer to fade, so allow time before an important event.
Results are temporary and develop gradually over the weeks following treatment. The length of time they remain noticeable varies with your skin and individual response. Stuart will review your results and discuss when maintenance may be useful.
Side effects are rare and temporary. Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at injection sites may occur but typically resolve within 1–2 days.
Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for at least six hours. Avoid strenuous exercise and saunas for 24 hours. Stuart will provide personalised aftercare advice, including when to restart skincare and other treatments.

Is Profhilo a dermal filler?
Profhilo and many dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, but they are formulated and used differently. Profhilo focuses on skin quality and hydration. Dermal fillers are used more specifically to restore volume or shape an area, such as the cheeks or lips.
Can Profhilo treat the neck?
Yes. Profhilo can be used on the neck to help improve skin quality and mild laxity. Stuart will assess whether it is suitable for the changes you have noticed. It will not remove excess skin or produce the results of a surgical neck lift.
Can Profhilo help with jowls?
Profhilo may improve skin quality where mild laxity is present, but it is not a targeted treatment for lifting jowls. Changes around the jawline can involve skin, fat and deeper facial support. Stuart will assess these before recommending an approach.
Will Profhilo change my face shape?
Profhilo is not intended to reshape your features or create fuller cheeks or lips. The aim is a gradual improvement in how your skin looks and feels. Temporary swelling after treatment should not be confused with the final result.
How long does Profhilo take to work?
Changes develop over several weeks rather than immediately. You may notice improvements during your initial course, with further changes after the second session. Stuart will explain when to review your results.
What is the difference between Profhilo and Profhilo Structura?
Standard Profhilo focuses on hydration, elasticity and skin quality. Profhilo Structura is designed to address age-related changes in the superficial facial fat beneath the skin.
